Mezcal Viejo Indecente

At Viejo Indecente we like mezcal that tastes like agave. That tastes a lot, with alcoholic potency but does not hurt or make the eyes cry.

We like good mezcal. The one that does not disappoint and that does not matter if the batch changes, delivers its promise of quality and flavor.

This mezcal comes from the tradition of a family that also likes good mezcal and that does it in one of the most biodiverse areas of agave in the country. Miahuatlán, Oaxaca.

Miahuatlán is the driest region in Oaxaca, it is the only one with calcareous soils and borders the Sierra Sur, full of aromas of the sea and ancient minerals.

Little is produced from this mezcal, slowly, without haste or cheating, and it comes from agave grown by the family on their own lands.

This mezcal is indecent but sustainable. No trees are logged to do it, no agrochemicals are used, no yeasts are added to the fermentation, and it is traded under a fair trade agreement.
